Let’s Head South: Vinous Pleasure from the Other America; Chile, Argentina & Uruguay ($15)
Friday, May 12th, 2017 4 pm – 7:30 pm @ Mt Tabor Fine Wines
My, how things have changed and progressed in South American wine. Just a few years ago, you mostly found Malbec, Malbec, and more Malbec in some form and it was really tough to put together a flight and have anything tasty except Malbec. This time around, I barely squeezed two Malbecs in!
Blends with Pais & Carignan, Sparkling from traditional Champagne grapes, and in the “who knew” category, two delicious wines from the emerging wine scene in Uruguay… from Tannat and Albariño, two grapes I’ve never seen before from South America.
This is a very tasty and indicative tasting of the future direction in the vinous pleasures from the other America. Like Wine? Love wine!
