May 28th 2010: 2008 Oregon Pinot Noir

If you’re an Oregon Pinot lover this tasting is a very important one for you. We will be pouring ALL from the heralded 2008 vintage. There has been much debate as to exactly how great it is. Many think it’s one of the best in the history of Oregon Pinot. To me, you simply have to wait until the wines have been in the bottle for six months or so to really see the style and quality of any particular vintage. There’s one thing for sure. It’s an excellent one and from the “serious” wines I’ve tasted so far it will age and improve in the bottle for many, many years to come. These baby’s are built for age! Early on they remind me of 1999, 2002 and 2004.

So, come on in for an opportunity to taste a very solid lineup of 2008 Oregon Pinot Noir. When you finish you will, no doubt, understand a great deal more about the 2008’s than you did when you walked in.
