Hazel’s Solo Debut; France’s Delightful Loire Valley ($15)
Friday, June 23rd, 2017 4 pm – 7:30 pm @ Mt Tabor Fine Wines
Well folks, I never thought I’d ever find someone that I would trust to run the Friday tastings without me but… it be done… and she be Hazel.
This allows me to continue on my quest to find the next great wine place. Right now I’m sitting in that very place, Canada’s Okanagan Valley! It’s a beautiful area just north of the border, above central Washington. This relatively unknown wine region is about to bust out big time. I’ve already tasted a 2005 Cabernet from Burrowing Owl, which was quite impressive. There is N. Rhone like Syrah, cool climate Pinot Noir, some really good Pinot Gris, terrific Chardonnay, and some of the best dry Riesling you’ll find in the new world.
So, the wine is worthy of bringing in for you. Now I have to have a meeting with Trudeau and figure out how to get it to Hawthorne Blvd. without all those taxes applied. Maybe some sort of NAFTA / Trump thing?
Make sure you stop in taste and keep “The Haze” some company, ya hear?
Truly, you need to come!
