July 16th 2010: Cabernet Sauvignon & Cab Blends from Around the Globe
Man, in my world, life is good! I wake up at 5AM and can’t decide which channel to watch………..732 featuring the Tour De France or 735 with the British Open. So it’s back and forth. If you’ve never watched the Tour De France you’re missing one of the great spectacles of life! You don’t even have to like bicycles. It’s a tour of the French countryside with incredible visuals of famous wine regions and beautiful tiny villages perched on mountain tops. Once in a while they show the bike riders but it’s really just an incredible view of France. One day they’re riding through the high mountains of the Jura and the Savoie and the next the vineyards of the Rhone Valley. I can’t recommend it too highly! And what’s this got to do with Cabernet? Well, the last time trail runs through Bordeaux and specifically Pauillac. And so we’ll have a Cab blend from Bordeaux, one from the South of France and 4 others from places like California and Washington State. After all, we need a break from all of that TV! So, here’s the best way to take that break.
